Congratulations and thank you for considering the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum as the location for your Wedding Day photos! The Museum is located on the historic Eagle’s Nest Estate. All the buildings, the cobblestone roads, the grounds, the gardens, and the courtyard are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the New York State Register of Historic Places. As such, all visitors must be respectful of the property, and extra precautions are required to be taken by all users of the property. Wedding photos are scheduled for 2 hours and based on availability. Please inquire as early as possible.
For pricing and all other inquiries, please email photographs@vanderbiltmuseum.org
In the event of inclement weather, your party can use the Arcade, the Memorial Wing, the Nursery wing staircase, and the Moroccan Court.
Payment is due in full to reserve; we accept credit cards, debit cards and personal checks. Upon receipt of payment, you will be emailed a receipt and issued a photo permit. Please present the permit to security upon arrival.
Depending upon the size of the vehicle, security will direct you to either park in the lot and disembark or drive down the cobblestone road veering left and unload at Boathouse Road. You then enter the courtyard through the Memorial wing entrance or walk up the stairs and through the tunnel under the bell tower.
Alcohol consumption on property is strictly prohibited.
If you need to cancel your reservation, for any reason, you must do so at least 60 days prior to your scheduled reservation or you will forfeit your deposit.
The Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium will be open during Winter Break -- Saturday, December 21st through Wednesday, December 31st from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Museum will be closed on Christmas Eve (Tuesday, 12/24), Christmas Day (Wednesday, 12/25), and New Year's Day (Thursday, 1/1/25).
