The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium is a membership institution, and provides benefits and privileges to its members in recognition of their annual support. Membership support enables the Museum to expand and enhance its education programs, and to maintain and restore the collections, grounds and historic buildings. Membership fees are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Time Travelers

The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum is a Member of the Time Travelers Program, a reciprocal membership network for historical museums and societies throughout the United States. All our membership levels receive this benefit. The program was created so that members of historical institutions could receive exclusive benefits and privileges at museums and historical sites nationwide. These benefits may include free or reduced admission, gift shop discounts, free parking, and more. Participating organizations can be found at https://timetravelers.mohistory.org/.

$50 Seniors / Students

For one senior (62+) or one student (with valid student ID): Unlimited general admission tickets to our Mansion tours and standard Planetarium shows. Further benefits include discounts on laser shows, select Museum programs and events, and a 10% discount at the Gift Shop.

Library Membership

The Library Membership covers free General Admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children. Both Planetarium show and Mansion tour are add-ons for an additional charge and subject to availability. We cannot make reservations for shows and tours in advance with the Library Pass at this time.

Guidelines for Visits

· Library patrons are entitled to free general admission for two adults and four children under the age of 18.

· Although not included with the Library Museum pass, Planetarium shows and Mansion tour tickets can be purchased upon arrival. Library passes cannot be applied to tickets purchased online due to limitations in our system.

· Please remind your patrons to always view the Vanderbilt Museum’s website: www.vanderbiltmuseum.org before their visit for planetarium and tour pricing, show and schedule changes, weather-related closures, and general information for planning their visit.

· The Vanderbilt Estate has cobblestone roads and hilly terrain. Wear sensible shoes.
