Long Island Filmmakers Capture Vanderbilt Essence in Brief Film

The Majors Productions, a five-person company of young Long Island filmmakers, has just completed a brief video on the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium.

"We wanted virtual visitors from everywhere to be able to get a visual taste of the Vanderbilt in a few minutes," says Lance Reinheimer, interim executive director. "This lively, well-made short film shows visitors a bit of our history and what we offer. We hope it entices visitors from far and near to come and explore this remarkable 43-acre estate."

This report, Progress Toward a Brighter Future, details the significant advances the institution has achieved in the past few years — in expense-reduction, finances, fund-raising, expanded programming, and increased public and media visibility.
