The Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium's completely renovated Gift Shop, located in the Planetarium lobby, is open during regular museum business hours.

A series of photographs along one wall details the history of the Vanderbilt Cup Races, established by William K. Vanderbilt II who, in addition to being a yachtsman and global explorer, was a pioneer American race driver.
